Vassil Yango, The Reward for Diligence

Maintaining good working ethics is what has kept him for over 14 years in active service at A.P. Moller – Maersk, which has seen him rise from Assistant Manager, Reefer Operations in 2008, to his current position as Managing Director – Maersk Logistics and Services Cameroon. Vassil Yango has made himself receptive towards challenges with certainty of making meaningful changes while attaining Objectives and ensuring team Progress. You can Call him the Challenger, One who Challenges Challenges. He is a clear proof that there’s a possibility to walk your way to the top through Intentionality, Hardwork, and Diligence.

Starting off as Assistant Manager in A.P. Moller – Maersk, his years in service has schooled him on Leadership and has equally developed his Visionary abilities. From 2010 to 2013, he was General Manager – Customer Service ( CEMAC). From 2013 to 2014, he was General Manager – Customer Service and Process Excellence ( CEMAC ). From 2014 to 2018, he worked as General Manager – Sales ( CEMAC, Angola, DRC). From 2018 to 2020, he served as the Managing Director, Liberia. Vassil Yango also doubles as Area Head of Customer Experience & Delivery ( CEMAC Zone, Angola, DRC ).

Regarding his educational background, in 2003 he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea. In 2015, he bagged a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wales. In 2016, he completed a Leadership development program on Business Administration and management from the University of Stellenbosch, Business School, South Africa. In the year 2021, he also completed an Executive Leadership Course ( Inspiring Maersk) courtesy of IMD.
