In Cameroon Women are not left behind in leadership roles. The visible and successful journey of many to top management is a push factor for more women to dream of becoming. Madeleine Koum is a Woman who has dedicated her Intelligence, time, skills and being to the service of one, SCB Cameroon. Hardworking and dependable, after over 37 years of input she is today reaping the fruits of diligence. She was chosen by the Board of directors of SCB Cameroon, with approval from the regional banking regulator and the national monetary authority to become the Deputy General Manager of this local subsidiary of the Moroccan banking group Attijariwafa.
She’s a Woman who has stood the test of time bracing up to every challenge and changes. Prior to her appointment, Madeleine Koum served in Yaoundé for 9 years as Branch Manager of a private banking segment of this credit institution.
In 1985 she joined the bank as management officer for 3 years. From 1988 to 2001, she worked as Individual and VIP client advisor. From 2001 to 2005, she worked as Business Manager SCB Credit Lyonnais. From 2005 to 2011, she was the Branch Manager. she has spent her entire career at the SCB Cameroon where she is now functioning as the deputy General Manager.
Madeleine KOUM is a graduate in business administration from the University Jean Moulin de Lyon III in France and the Technical Institute of Banking (1982),
